The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

HI Sherry,

I always loved that Sanburg poem. I think it was in one of the four books that lived next to the encyclopedia's at home!

Hope you're having a good day.
Love,
Carol

Thanks, Traci.

Yes, Carol, the Childcraft books that we poured over!

These are gorgeous pictures.

What I've always admired about Carl Sandburg is his ability to put so much into such few words. Thanks for sharing.

Wes's grandfather met Carl Sandberg. He came out to Idaho to do some logging in the forests. Grandpa wasn't too impressed with him. :-) Too dreamy, wouldn't do a full day's work. I guess he was thinking up poetry. :-)

maya ganesan - Thank you!

Dani- That is very cool. Thanks for sharing. BTW, I've been meaning to talk to you or write you a note for at least a year, (not exaggerating.) We were so sorry to miss your latest celebration.

Sherry,

Perfect pairing of words and pictures. Just lovely. Makes me miss that street...
