- I think that I shall never see
- A poem lovely as a tree.
- A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
- Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
- A tree that looks at God all day,
- And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
- A tree that may in summer wear
- A nest of robins in her hair;
- Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
- Who intimately lives with rain.
- Poems are made by fools like me,
- But only God can make a tree.
- Joyce Kilmer

Hi:
Just browsing the sites of others and came across your lovely pictures of trees.
Just wanted to let you know they were appreciated.
I really can't get over how beautiful your pictures are... just amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, both.
I was missing your visits, Traci -(aka, as my very faithful commenter.) (And we all miss you and your family; we wish you could be here for the holidays.)
These are gorgeous photos Sherry! You could frame them. And that is the very first poem I ever memorized ... waayyyy back in grade school.
Your California pictures are great! Did you go to Mira Mar?
Hi Nicole,
No we didn't go to Mira Mar, but we wanted to because of the airshow that weekend. After we picked up my husband, the San Diego harbor was right there, so we toured the Midway. Later that day, when resting on the beach at Carlsbad I watched four Blue angels and a couple of other planes fly by after the airshow had ended for the day. Thanks for you comment!
Love these photos! I have been reveling in the gorgeous color of trees this week too. I forgot it was Reformation Day until this post - thanks!
